Finally, it is done. The fourth Alpha Waves release is now available for download. It’s another smashing fast and powerful mix with a bunch of brand new tracks from 2010. But I have to apologize… why? … because I didn’t keep the promise and I went beyond my previous speed limit of 180bpm. This mix is recorded at unbelievable 200bpm but it’s really …woah… astonishing. DJ Set: One-Eighty (ALPHA003)

This is the third release from Alpha Waves. One-Eighty is dedicated to all the speed freaks out there and those who ever wanted to know how psychedelic trance will sound at 180bpm. Although this project is a demonstration of how music can restructure itself at such immense speed (145bpm -> 180bpm), it should also be a request to all Psytrance DJs and Artists not to exceed this speed limit as it will make your music just sound awful and way too fast.

Radio Problems (Update)

Eventually someone already noticed … I have some problems with my radio pulling the stream from Last.fm. I’ll have a look into this issue as soon as possible.

Until then the stream is playing music from Magnatune.

DJ Set: Psy-Kinetic Energy Flux (ALPHA001)

This is the debut release of my new mix series Alpha Waves mainly focusing on Darkpsy and Pure Power Psychedelic (some people call it Psycore). It starts at aroung 150bpm slowly gaining more and more speed until it reaches its peak at about 163bpm when Kashyyyk will give it a massive blast.

All Alpha Waves releases will feature updated NFO files (with an additional PNG version for those of you who don’t have a NFO viewer) and of course a nice cover.

English, here I come!

Es ist an der Zeit. Ich habe gedacht, ich komme irgendwie drumherum, aber mir ist in letzter Zeit doch langsam klar geworden, dass es nicht reicht, meine Seite lediglich in Deutsch anzubieten. Allein die Tatsache, dass die Seite demnächst auf Ektoplazm gelistet wird, ließ mich nun endgültig zu dem Schritt bewegen, eine englische Version der Seite zu erstellen.
Leider muss ich dazu sagen, dass noch nicht alles reibungslos funktioniert. Es gibt einige Bereiche und Artikel, die noch nicht vollständig übersetzt sind. Die Sidebar z.b. ist vorläufig weiterhin nur in deutscher Sprache vorhanden. Auch gibt es noch Probleme mit den Tags in der englischen Version, weswegen ich Tags in englischen Artikeln vorerst nicht verwenden kann. Ich werde mich aber darum bemühen alle Bereiche schnellstmöglich fertigzustellen.

It is time. At first I thought I can avoid this step but it got clear that it’s not sufficient to provide a german-only version of my website. The mere fact that my site is soon going to be listed on Ektoplazm finally made me think of creating an english version of the website.
But I must say that the translation still has some flaws I have to fix as soon as possible. Some parts and articles still need to be translated. The sidebar for instance is still available only in german. Problems also exists with tags in the english version so I can’t use tags in english articles at the moment. This will be fixed, soon.

The good old times - Update

It really was time and I finally managed to make up my mind to re-install my PC. Creating a backup of all important data was essential for this step, of course. This backup made me look in areas of my harddrive I actually don’t look anymore. And what did I found? … I found an old backup of my even older MP3-Player (for everyone interested, it’s a slightly demolished but still working Archos Jukebox Studio 20.

This backup contained a bunch of my older DJ sets from ancient times when I still played Drum&Bass. But since that’s still not enough, I even found DJ sets from my first steps on mixing psytrance.

To let the good old times roll again, I offer you a small selection of my ancient DJ sets here on my website. The list below is ordered by date in ascending order.

Good news and bad news

I’ve got some good news and some bad news to tell you. Bad news first.

Unfortunatly I can’t attend The Call of the Dervish party the upcoming weekend. I’m really sorry for that but I can’t help it. Nevertheless I’m very sure I’ll play at Maiglöckchenklang 2.

Now the good news. I’ve just implemented a RSS feed on my website so you’ll never miss updates to my website ever again. Just click on RSS Feed in the navigation to see the feed along with instructions on how to add the feed in your favorite news-reader (at least in Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer 7).
